Additionally, our local teen shooting star is Derek Brown, 15 , who recently earned first place awards in the Grand American Trap Shooting competition. Derek is a member of the 5 Rivers Trap Club and has only been shooting for a couple of years.
Along with those stories we also feature youth bowling, skydiving by some local daredevils and Dutch oven cooking.
Our Centenarian, Marie Davis, 102, celebrated another birthday and she just keeps on keeping on. She was feted with a party and friends dropped by to congratulate her on another milestone. Legacy Hospice was the host for Business After Hours, which was held in the Old Historic Randolph County Courthouse. Legacy Hospice, located in Walnut Ridge, provides end of life care for patients in Northeast Arkansas.
Pocahontas Family Medical Center recently expanded their building to double its original size. An open house was held to show off their new facility to the public. Pictures of those attending are in this issue. Traveling stars features four local folks on a three-week trip to Italy. We are sure you will enjoy their story and the photos, too.
